YTD Raised: €38.47Animals In Need was founded in 2006 by a small group of like-minded people in Donegal Town who were individually making an effort to alleviate animal suffering. It is a non profit making organisation. Over the years the group has gotten bigger as more people have become aware of our work and have started helping. Initially we became involved in fundraising activities to help other animal welfare organisation. However, this was not sufficient to our needs so we had to become a “hands-on” voluntary group, rescuing and re-homing unwanted, injured and abandoned animals. Some very dedicated member choose to be on our committee which is selected at the A.G.M. or by co-option later, it is a working committee, consisting of a handful of volunteers.

As a local, independent charity, we are responsible for raising our own funds, and rely on fundraising and income from our shops to provide our range of essential services, support and activities (including our free Information & Advice service, our Befriending service and groups aimed at reducing loneliness and isolation) across the districts of Bromsgrove, Redditch and Wyre Forest. We are dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life and but we can't do that without help from our supporters.
