We achieve our mission through training and education services. DDS, formally known as United Cerebral Palsy of Lebanon County, was founded by a group of concerned parents in 1961 as a not-for-profit organization. Since then, the agency has grown to meet the growing needs of the local community. DDS offers an array of services to individuals from birth to age 79. What we do: DDS provides the following services and programs: Children Services: •Early Intervention Home Based Program - 116 children Special Instruction, Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy •Summer Stars Day Camp - 25 Children •Recreational Programs for School Age Children Adult Services: •Supported Competitive Employment Program - 56 Adults •Habilitation / Companionship / Respite - 18 Adults •Brave Art Studio - 15 Adults •Venture Crew - 8 Adults •Hip Hop Cardio - 15 Teens and Adults Advocacy Services: •Elks Home Service Nurse - 143 Individuals each year Each year, approximately 350 children and adults receive services through Developmental and Disability Services of Lebanon Valley. The majority of these programs are FREE to qualified participants. We are able to provide these services as a 501(c)3 charitable organization through the generous contributions of our donors, the United Way of Lebanon County, local businesses and community organizations. Founded by Heli Dungler in 1988, the organisation strives for improvements in animal welfare through sustainable campaigns and projects. The work is based on substantiated research and scientific expertise as well as intensive national and international lobbying. FOUR PAWS focuses on animals that are directly under human influence: stray dogs and stray cats, farm animals, wild animals and companion animals but also bears, big cats and orang-utans kept in inappropriate housing. With offices in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Romania, South Africa, Switzerland, United Kingdom and USA FOUR PAWS aims to help animals in need directly and quickly.
