(UK, 1179083) The charity help fund an annual event that connects DYRK1A individuals and their families with interested professionals. In addition to our families gaining more of an understanding around the medical aspects, traits, latest research and therapies from the specialist speakers who will attend and present during the event we are also able to use the conference to establish and provide knowledge to them and help learn about the challenges our DYRK1a children and young people have in life. Securing funding helps ensure that as many families as possible are able to benefit from this event by being able to pay for the conference facilities during the meet up for all the speakers and the families attending. This will help encourage attendance of families who would otherwise not feel able to financially.

(UK, 1138760) The Dreike Scholarship Fund has a simple aim - to help Africans who live near wildlife reserves to enjoy a decent education; allowing them to improve their quality of life and give them the opportunity to fulfill their ambitions and potential. We do this by providing funds for individual students to attend school who would otherwise not be able to enjoy the education they deserve. We currently support 36 children and one student nurse in Zambia, 16 children in Rwanda and 8 more children and one student nurse in Uganda. Our scholarships pay for any school fees, uniforms, school books and other materials. We help children who we feel are most deserving and too poor to otherwise afford to go to school. Our future aim is to continue to provide funds for these 60 children & young people so that they, and others, receive an education they would otherwise not have access to. YTD Raised: £150.00WellFound is a Christian international water and sanitation charity that provides clean, safe drinking water as well as sanitation facilities and hygiene education to communities in Africa that are in desperate need. 1 in 8 of the worlds population does not have access to safe water that is an astounding 894 million people are denied this basic human right. An even greater number (2.5 billion) do not have access to sanitation facilities. This combined shortfall leads to the deaths of 400 children a day. WellFound works in some of the worlds poorest countries with communities whose situation is most acute, finding appropriate solutions to provide them with clean, safe drinking water and sanitation facilities such as building wells and latrines. 100% of every donation we receive goes directly to projects and is never spent on administration.
