Kenilworth Phab is a group of disabled and able-bodied people from the Kenilworth area who endeavour to encourage friendship, equality and inclusion through social activities. Please donate to support our cause. The Phab aim is to promote and encourage people of all abilities to come together on equal terms to achieve complete inclusion within the wider community. Kenilworth Phab meets weekly and welcomes everyone over the age of 18. We regularly hold a variety of fund raising events in order to provide a range of interesting, exciting and varied activities that are completely accessible to all our members.In addition to our regular programme of activities and outings, we are raising funds in 2017 to enable our members to take part in an outward bounds experience at The Calvert Trust in Devon. As well as being a really memorable event, this will challenge members to attempt activities that are outside and beyond their previous experiences and thus develop and increase self confidence and social skills. YTD Raised: £130.00Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate.We are a woodwork furniture making and upholstery workshop project based in Bath, which runs for the direct benefit of those with a mental or physical health condition, those in recovery from addiction to drugs or alcohol, those who have suffered a debilitating major life trauma and those on the margins of and excluded from society. Our project is set up to help some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Bath and the surrounding area.Our service users spend structured full-day sessions in the supportive, caring environment of our professionally equipped workshop, up to 3 days per week. During these sessions they refurbish donated second hand furniture and learn the woodwork and upholstery skills need to make furniture from scratch, helping to build their self confidence and self-worth, making them feel included in society, enhancing their employment prospects and helping them to move forward and lead fulfilling lives.
