Eight Bells is important because it contributes to the wellbeing of its members by helping to reduce isolation, creating robust social networks and providing advocacy to address frequent sources of stress and ill-health such as housing, benefits and relationship issues.Surveys of members undertaken in 2012 and 2016 found that they most valued the friendly, welcoming and non-judgemental environment, the advocacy provided, the freedom to choose activities and the chance to share experiences. The learning opportunities were particularly valued as members had poor experiences of education in the past. St Philip's School PTA (UK, 1101828) Browse events

YTD Raised: £10.00

The St. Philip's Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a charity fundraising committee run by parents and carers of children in the school and some of the staff. We run social and fundraising events to help raise money for some of the little extras that make the children's learning more fun. In the last couple of years our projects have included wall bars and Nativity costumes, a drumming workshop and a visit by an author, laptops and library books! Our main focus for this academic year is raising money to support the development of outdoor areas at the school. By coming together as a community of parents and friends we can make a real difference to our school. If you feel able to support the school by making a donation – however large or small – it will be put to very good use. If you would prefer to give your time and energy instead, please do speak to one of the PTA committee about how you can help. New ideas are always welcome!
