(UK, 1169629) Browse eventsDisability Sports Humber is the biggest disability sports charity in the Humber area supporting 100s of disabled people weekly in sport. We so often see how much sport changes people's lives from improving their mental health to giving some time to rest for carers. We work in a number of different ways including: Giving grants to disabled people to keep playing sport, for example a grant for a special sports wheelchair/powerchair Helping to fund the clubs so they can keep open to make sure there will always be sport for all in the area. Holding events to showcase what disability sports can do, whilst also fundraising. Disability sports in the Humber area has a funding gap of over £30,000 a year which we try to bridge with all the work we do, however we need the public’s support to be able to keep 100s of disabled people playing the sports they love so we can continue changing their lives.
