YTD Raised: £40.00

Friends of Lexden is the PTA for the school run entirely by volunteers. Our aim is to raise much needed funds for our school and our children. Our funds help to enhance and improve the children’s school experience where the normal school budget can not stretch to. We have previously funded such items as sports team kits, stage equipment, year 6 leavers events and help to subsidise all school trips, so no child has to miss out. With the ever increasing demands on school budgets our donations really make an impact on how the school can run and every child’s life.

YTD Raised: £40.00

Eccleshill Adventure Playground, known locally as The Big Swing Adventure Playground, is an open-access, free of charge adventure playground for children and young people aged 5-16 years. The playground is open 4 days a week, running after school, weekends and during school holidays. By providing and creating a safe and stimulating environment, children and young people are able to experience play opportunities that offer levels of risk and challenge which may not be available to them in other play spaces. The Big Swing Adventure Playground offers children a space to test boundaries and choose activities whilst being supervised by qualified playworkers. Eccleshill Adventure Playground also delivers an outreach service, taking adventure play into 5 different communities across the Bradford District. Alongside this we have developed an Inclusion project, coordinate and hold annual play forums and provide a playwork apprenticeship scheme.   Eccleshill Adventure Playground is a small charity and relies on grants and donations to survive. Donations of money or fund raising is always appreciated. We use this money in many ways, such as buying food for our cook and eat sessions or building new and exciting play structures with the children.  Charity No: 1122592 Find out more Website http://www.thebigswing.org/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/TheBigSwingAdventurePlayground/ Twitter https://twitter.com/thebigswing YouTube https://www.youtube.com/user/thebigswingadventure

ST MARY THE VIRGIN CHURCH,BURGHILL (UK, 618094) Browse events

YTD Raised: £40.00

We belong to the Church of England serving several scattered rural villages and hamlets in Herefordshire. Our beautiful listed church building, dating back to the 12th century is the spiritual hub of the community offering worship, fellowship, baptisms and funerals. We also hold many weddings each year and numerous social events. It costs £1,000 each week to run and maintain the building and churchyard in order to enable these events to take place. Our congregation, local community and visitors pay for this with no additional support. During the Covid-19 pandemic all churches have been locked and consequently our all normal events and sources of income have been severely reduced. We are using imaginative ways of reaching out to the community and raising funds whilst abiding by the lockdown rules.

Partnership For Children (UK, 1089810) Browse events

YTD Raised: £40.00

Partnership for Children helps children to be mentally and emotionally healthy, just as sport and good food help them to be physically healthy. We focus on young children, producing resources and training for their parents and teachers. We run Zippy’s Friends, one of the world’s most successful mental health promotion programmes, now helping children in schools from Surrey to Sao Paolo to Shanghai. We are trialling new resources for children with learning disabilities, and we also produce Good Books for Tough Times, recommending storybooks to help children facing bereavement, bullying or family break-up. In all our work, we help children develop the skills they need to deal with difficulties, so that they will be better able to cope with problems and crises as teenagers and adults. It’s great value for money - about £2 for each child who completes Zippy’s Friends - and while we’re big enough to be effective, we’re small enough for your support to make a real difference. Please help us to promote good mental health for children - for life.
