Our mission is to improve the lives of refugees and asylum seekers through providing support and advice, promoting awareness and facilitating integration into the wider Reading Community. Currently, we're concentrating our efforts on the refugee crisis. We expect the first Syrian refugees to arrive in the UK soon, and we want to be ready to help them. Young carers provide a substantial amount of unpaid care to a family member (usually a parent) due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or substance misuse issues. We support young carers by offering them one-to-one support, group activities and residential breaks, as well as providing a voice for young carers across the city.
