Founded with the vision of the ‘love I bear learning’, we realise Dame Joyce Frankland’s original purpose, set in 1588, through our values. We also recognise her wider vision, that students and staff would be ‘good members of the Common Wealth’ ensuring that all members of the community flourish. The NPA do all we can to support the ambition to provide the highest quality of education to those in and around Newport.

Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children (NICFC) is a local charity that offers practical and emotional support to children, teenagers and young adults aged 0-24 and their families who are living with cancer. Currently, the charity delivers eleven services throughout Northern Ireland, which not only support the child or young person who is ill, but their parents/carers and brothers and sisters also. NICFC provides additional support to young people who have a parent or guardian living with cancer through its Young Shoulders programme. Vital services include qualified youth and family support delivered in the home and hospital setting, residential and social weekends for young people, grants to ease the financial burden of looking after a sick child and the provision of respite care for the whole family at Shimna Valley in Newcastle and Pine and Birch Cottages in Coleraine.
