The service is free, confidential and tailored to the individual. We aim to help children and young people cope with loss, change and bereavement in a healthy and positive way. Childhood bereavement is more common than you might think. Every year around 4,300 people die in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. These are parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends. The deaths of these people will affect many other people, including children. Each year we work with around 160 children and young people and deliver over 900 one to one sessions. Each session is delivered free of charge although it costs £35 to deliver. Please help us to continue helping children and young people affected by loss.
