German Shepherd Rescue Elite Ltd. (UK, 1150928) Browse events

YTD Raised: £235.00

German Shepherd Rescue Elite (GSRE) has been formed with the aim of rescuing, re-homing German Shepherd Dogs and educating people on the breed. GSRE is backed up by a team of unpaid volunteers who strive to aid and promote responsible ownership of the breed. GSRE aim is to be the prevention and not always the cure, through offering education on the lovely breed and how to look after these amazingly intelligent and energetic dogs. We not only look to re-home dogs but keep them in their original homes by offering training and behaviour advice. Through our volunteers and website we want to inform people on all aspects of dog ownership before they decide to take the plunge especially as German Shepherd Dogs are a large working breed and are not suitable for everyone. The GSRE works alongside many other rescues which means that through team work and pulling together we can help even more dogs in need. Please help today!

Mylo's Fund (UK, 1166672) Browse events

YTD Raised: £235.00

Mylo’s Fund provides grants to families who have experienced a stillbirth (from 16 weeks gestation) or a neonatal death. We are currently running two grant schemes. The first supports parents by covering the cost of a fully funded headstones for their baby. The second enables parents to apply for private bonding scans during subsequent pregnancies. As a charity, we want to make a difference to families who have been rocked by stillbirth. It goes without saying that when you lose a baby, you also lose a piece of your heart. But there are many other factors that affect you as a family during this time. Like many other grieving families, our financial situation suffered due to loss of earnings during the early weeks and months. Suddenly, you are no longer considering the costs of pushchairs and baby grows, but instead the costs of headstones and memorials for your baby. These costs can be mammoth, and of course completely unexpected. This, teamed with loss of earnings due to grief can leave parents feeling unable to mark their baby’s existence in the way they would like to. This in itself can be utterly heart breaking. After experiencing stillbirth or neonatal death, a subsequent pregnancy can be absolutely terrifying. Parents often find themselves making many trips to hospital for extra reassurance scans, monitoring and consultant appointments. Parents often find that bonding with their unborn baby can prove difficult due to anxiety and fear. Private scan clinics are more accessible, often have better availability, and allow special moments to bond with your unborn baby. But, of course these come at a cost. This is where we hope Mylo’s Fund can help. If you would like to know more about our headstone grant, or our bonding scans grant, please contact us or see the ‘grant applications’ section of our website for further information.

The Rotary Club of St Neots (UK, 206923) Browse events

YTD Raised: £235.00

The Rotary motto is "Service Above Self" and the Rotary Club of St Neots members do their best to live up to that by supporting our community and a number of organisations in a variety of ways. Several of us are trustees of local charities (and one international charity). Through our own charity, the Rotary club of St Neots Benevolent Fund, we raise funds for people in need locally, for other charities and for disaster relief, both in the UK and abroad. We are careful in our choice of organisations to support. As far as possible, we donate to those run by volunteers as we are not in favour of providing funding for high salaries.Take a look at our website for further details.
