Deafness Support Network (DSN) provides wider access and equality for D/deaf people by delivering high quality services, practical help, advice, specialist support and social centres in Cheshire and the surrounding area to anyone with a hearing loss or a combined sight/ hearing loss (deafblindness) that may cause difficulty with communication, access to information, mobility and/or daily living. We strive to empower D/deaf people to be both users and providers of our services ensuring that D/deaf people are involved in the governance and decision making processes of the organisation. We provide recreational and leisure activities for adults with a learning disability. We hold weekly club-nights where the members enjoy socialising and playing pool, darts, bingo, plus discos, crafts, and competitions. We organise outings throughout the year. The club is run entirely by volunteers.
Northumbrian Hedgehog Rescue Trust is a small charity for the rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured or orphaned hedgehogs. Based in Longframlington, near Morpeth in Northumberland, wetake in hedgehog casualties from Northumberland in the north to Durham in the south. We have 15 years’ experience and, supported by Alnorthumbria Vets, have a high rehabilitation success rate. Furthermore we have never turned away a hedgehog in need.
