(UK, NI100412) The Koram Centre is a registered charity, offering professional therapeutic intervention and psychosocial support. All of our counsellors and psychotherapists are highly qualified and work in line with such professional standards as BPS, BACP and BABCP. We are independent in our style of working but we all share a common passion for therapy and a commitment to emotional wellbeing. We have 24 therapists working from 2 and 3 Mourne Villas, Lower Main Street, Strabane and several outreach venues. Our therapists are compassionate and dedicated to their clients. We place a high priority on discretion and confidentiality for all of our clients. What we do? We offer first-rate counselling and psychotherapeutic services that include: Face to face counselling Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Child and adolescent counselling. Solution focused brief therapy. EMDR. Family/Couples therapy. Addiction counselling. Psychosocial activities. Areas of speciality include (but are not limited to): Abuse, addiction anger, anxiety, bereavement, cancer counselling, complicated grief, depression, eating disorders, learning disability (autism), lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender counselling, low self esteem, marriage, relationship, trauma, phobias, PTSD, paranoia, postnatal depression, multi cultural issues, panic disorder, self development, work and carer, self harm and suicide intervention, obsessive compulsive disorder, suicidal ideation, self harm and stress management.

Over 750 adult learners per year find their first steps back to education at Conway.People from all walks of life, including those who left school without qualifications, older people, newcomers and refugees, attend classes to improve their skills, gain qualifications, meet new people and improve their confidence and chances of employment.Conway Education Centre is a hive of activity; a range of accredited and unaccredited courses, workshops on complementary therapies and different cultures, English language classes and a homework support club for refugee families are all accommodated in the centre. Young and old attend to improve their education, skills and confidence. Qualified tutors deliver courses, volunteers provide support and there is always a cup of tea/coffee and a listening ear. Please donate to support our cause and help us to make a difference, to transform lives.Conway Education Centre has been providing community education since 1982. The centre has an excellent reputation for providing quality education and tailored learner support. ‘Kate’ who was made redundant at 51, started IT classes after sitting at home for two years. “My confidence was at an all-time low and my doctor had put me on anti-depressants. My daughter suggested I do a computer class at Conway. I started as a nervous absolute beginner, the tutor was so supportive. I now have an IT qualification and am applying for jobs.”‘Ryan’, 37, was put at the back of the class and left school without any qualifications. “I believed I was stupid, I had problems with reading and writing, couldn’t even help my kids with their homework. I tried courses at the local college, but didn’t feel comfortable among mostly young people. Then I started English and Maths courses at Conway and it has changed my life!”We ask for your donation to replace our ten year-old IT server, which supports all of our students' learning and our organisation.
