Squatters had brought the building in disrepair, it has been damaged by pigeon and rat infestations, alongside water damage to the roof, walls and floorboards. It has now been acquired by a local church, in Kensington whose vision is to restore and have the building fully functioning as a church again and a thriving community hub, with facilities such as, soup kitchen, youth, weddings, celebrations and other activities.
