(UK, SCO42285) Browse eventsWelcome & thank you for taking an interest in the work of Staffordshire Rescue Scotland!Staffordshire Rescue Scotland is run solely by a team of volunteers who are dedicated in promoting the plight of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. A wonderful breed of dog which has become misunderstood due to negative publicity and become so over bred that rescue centres are at crisis point as many are being abandoned on a day to day basis. Sadly due to so many staffies requiring homes and not enough rescue spaces to accomodate this breed of dog there are a large number of dogs facing put to sleep on a day to day basis as there is simply no where for these dogs to go. Staffordshire Rescue Scotland endeavour to find suitable and loving homes for Staffordshire Bull Terriers that are in need in Scotland.Education and Training is a key part in the work we do as a rescue. All our dogs have rescue back up for life and are neutered, vaccinated, wormed & microchipped.Every penny raised goes to supporting the dogs in need of our help.Thank you for supporting and donating to Staffordshire Rescue Scotland.

(UK, SC020014) Browse eventsThe Loch Lomond Rescue Boat is Scotland's first and oldest freshwater lifeboat, operating on the largest stretch of fresh water in mainland UK. With a totally volunteer crew, it is on call 24/7, and deals with up to 70 incidents each year on the Loch, its shores and islands, and also on the West Highland Way on the mainly roadless east bank. It has been in being since 1977, and is entirely supported by fund-raising and voluntary contributions. The present boat, our third, is a 7 metre Arctic 22 Rhib, with twin 150hp outboard engines, which give it speeds of over 40knots. Over the years, many lives have been saved, and a greater number of individuals assisted when in dangerous circumstances. The Rescue Boat co-operates with the Police, Fire & Rescue, Ambulance, Mountain Rescue and Rescue Helicopters

The vision we received and that we are faithful to is that we do everything free of charge and rely purely on donations to resource our activities. These include scouting out new worship song writers, encouraging them in their song writing, helping to craft their songs and then recording them to a highly professional standard and releasing those songs on our website for no charge (donations only). Our heart is to equip and encourage worship song writers in the local church and facilitate the outpouring of worship in new song, which we believe is a biblical mandate for each generation.
