Ujamaa Children's Trust is an English charitable trust which supports the Ujamaa Children's Home in Arusha, Tanzania. The Children's Home provides long terms care in a family environment for children who need it. The home cares for over 20 children of primary school to college age.
Free Bikes 4 Kidz is a non-profit program geared toward helping kids ride into a happier, healthier childhood by providing bikes to those most in need. The public donates gently used bikes, we organize hundreds of volunteers to clean and refurbish them, and then we give them away to kids in need.
The PFC Trust was founded by Patrick and Frances Connolly following a lottery win. It is now the work of a group of like-minded people dedicated to helping their community. A main aim of the Trust is to support the sustainability of projects which are already working for the community.
Miles for Smiles offer support to charities and individuals who face life changing or life limiting illnesses or have a disability that live in either South Derbyshire, North West Leicestershire or East Staffordshire.
We support people with hearing loss on the Isle of Man. We offer several social groups for people who may or may not use British Sign Language (BSL), a Children's Group and the Tinnitus Support Group. We have a free to loan Equipment Library and provide Lipreading and BSL classes.
We are a longstanding charity (since 1650's) which provides accommodation to elderly local people in housing need. We run two almshouses in Carter Street Uttoxeter containing 3 flats and 4 bedsits. The buildings are both within the conservation area and one is grade 2 listed.
Beaudesert and District Little Athletics Club offers children the opportunity to learn the sport of athletics in a family fun environment. We are excited to announce that we will be holding our first ever Colour Run on Friday 17 December 2021 at St Mary's Oval. This will be our annual fundraiser for the club and welcome all families and their friends to join us for a fun afternoon filled with colour.
Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world with the lowest level of education in Africa. We are helping to build classroom blocks and toilets in primary school in Neno district. We are also building a boarding secondary school with nursery for girls and young women so those with kids can continue with their education.
A community larder is a hub, a place to access food that is surplus, access additional services, and save money. Some larders have been set up like your average store. All Community Larders are unique in their own way, “reducing food waste, creating opportunities, engaging with communities”. We will also split any money received with a group that supports adults with additional needs.
