Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. We are a registered charity, working since March 2016, with the aim of helping children and families in our communities. We currently provide two services in our local area - a School Uniform Bank and a Baby Bank - but we also support the fantastic work of other local charities and organisations who care for the communities of Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and surrounding villages. Our School Uniform Bank and Baby Bank aim to support children and families in need, through community recycling and donations. The School Uniform Bank provides school uniform free of charge to those families most in need in the area, through a system of referrals. Packs provided to children and young people consist of new and pre-loved items. But we also want to provide wider community benefit, by giving families access to good quality pre-loved uniform, that may have otherwise have gone to landfill. So we are developing a system of uniform exchange. The Baby Bank delivers support to parents and carers of young children in the area who need a little help. This help is primarily in the form of a 'starter pack' for babies, which is presented as a gift from the local community. However, we also provide other items for young children, based on referrals. Finally we wouldn't be able to do ANY of this if it wasn't for the support we get from our local community so THANK YOU! At the International Centre for Eyecare Education Ltd we know that a pair of glasses and access to eye care means improved performance at school, increased employment opportunities and, ultimately, a higher quality of life. For 10 years ICEE has worked to provide underserved communities, in Australia and 40 other countries, with access to vision care to help reduce poverty. We provide effective, affordable and sustainable eye care programmes by investing in local people, eye health education and the future of eye care access.
