(UK, 1150774) Browse eventsAmaha We Uganda UK supports the work of local Ugandans, in the South Rwenzori Diocese, to improve their standard of living, lifting themselves out of poverty. We help to empower local people through the provision of micro-finance loans to women’s groups, training and project work. The charity was formed in 2012 to continue the work of an umbrella group - called Hope for Uganda - which brought together 3 UK based church groups: The Parish of Wisley with Pyrford, Ash Vale (both in Surrey) and The Forest of Dean. Our work focuses on Women's groups as this does most to improve quality of life. Support has also included street kids and vulnerable young people. The support, started in 2006, has shown great benefits to the Women's Groups and particularly their children and families.
