(UK, 1155033) Browse eventsAs the UK’s population rapidly ages, the issue of acute loneliness and social isolation is one of the biggest challenges facing our society. The Spitz CT wishes to address this need by developing work with frail and vulnerable older people living in institutional settings and at home alone within communities. Through the power of live music and working with talented, experienced musicians will aim to bring life and colour into their lives in a range of places. From the everyday settings of the street, to people’s front rooms, in church halls, schools and residential care homes. We will deliver a constantly evolving music programme that includes participatory, social, exploratory and performance strands.

(US, KURT VONNEGUT MEMORIAL LIBRARY INC - N/A) Browse eventsThe Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library champions the legacy of Hoosier author Kurt Vonnegut and the principles of free expression, common decency, and peaceful coexistence he advocated. This year, we are excited to partner with Beyond Monumental and Run for a Cause for the first time. Please consider supporting KVML through the Monumental Marathon, Half Marathon, or 5K run on November 4th. Get out there and run the very same streets that Kurt ran/walked/hung out on as a teenager in the 1930's and 40's. Kurt was adamant about common decency and advocating for the underdog, and we at KVML work to continue his legacy in this 2017 Year of Vonnegut and beyond. With your help, funds earned will support future programming for Indy residents and visitors to the city from all over the world. Some of our staff will be out there running with you. Others will man a drink station. And keep an eye out ... Kurt Vonnegut "himself" may give you a high five and cheer you on as you go by! Contact Meredith Cummings, Director of Programs and Donor Relations, at [email protected] or call 317-797-2648 for more information.
(UK, 1164218) Browse eventsOur mission is to enable social participation within communities to tackle mental health concerns together, in order to inspire individuals, influence prejudice and promote awareness and understanding. The Jonny Wilkinson Foundation gives life changing support to the members of our community who need it most. Every year, many of us will be affected by mental health issues either directly or through someone we know. Providing practical help and support is at the heart of what we do as we believe that no one should have to struggle alone. We are supporting institutions that, through their work, enable individuals to face huge challenges. Charity No: 1164218
