The Spitz CT wishes to address this need by developing work with frail and vulnerable older people living in institutional settings and at home alone within communities. Through the power of live music and working with talented, experienced musicians will aim to bring life and colour into their lives in a range of places. From the everyday settings of the street, to people’s front rooms, in church halls, schools and residential care homes. We will deliver a constantly evolving music programme that includes participatory, social, exploratory and performance strands.

YTD Raised: £125.00The Ellie Mai Fund was launched by John and Lisa Mowforth after the sad loss of their daughter. Ellie was diagnosed with a rare tumour known as a diffuse brainstem glioma in 2012. Initially the fund was set up to raise money for Wish Upon A Star and the Brain Tumour Trust as a thank you for the support given to John, Lisa and Ellie. The fund now functions as its own charity to help others who find themselves in a similar situation. We also support Brain Cancer Research and many local hospices / rest bite accommodation

PLUS was established in 1988 by parents who believed that children with disabilities had as much right as anyone else to an ordinary social life. PLUS support offers parents and carers a short break, which strengthens their family unit. These short breaks both increase the capacity and resilience of families to continue in their caring roles. PLUS currently engages with over 230 families in the community and in 2014 PLUS organised and ran over 1550 activities and events resulting in almost 4200 attendees. PLUS currently supports over 250 individuals between the ages of 0-35 with a range of disabilities such as; Downs Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Global Learning Delay and many have complex needs.
