Health Action Leicester for Ethiopia (HALE) is the charitable arm of the Leicester-Gondar Medical Link. This partnership started as a result of health and Education professionals in Leicester wanting to make a difference in the developing world and the strongly supported Link with The College of Medical Sciences in Gondar was established in 1996. HALE and the Leicester-Gondar Link are primarily involved in the transfer of knowledge and skills between Leicester and Gondar, supporting the improvement of health and educational services. Over the years, there have been many projects that have been beneficial to both Leicester and Gondar including a fully independent Masters degree in Public Health training health workers from all over Ethiopia. Visit our website (www.le.ac.uk/gondar) for details of other projects we are involved in.

(UK, SCO28660) Browse eventsThank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. HopScotch is a long established charity providing free respite breaks for vulnerable children living in Scotland who have no other chance of a holiday. Our annual programme runs from March to October and each year we provide 350 children with a truly memorable break at Ardvullin our beautiful respite Centre in the West Highlands. During their stay at Ardvullin children take part in a range of fun and exciting activities including horse riding, canoeing, boat trips, and visits to the beach and the sea life centre, indoor climbing and biking. These activities help to build children's confidence, self-esteem and develop their full potential. We work with schools, young carers organisations, women’s aid groups, health charities and community groups to identify children most in need. The majority of children who benefit from a HopScotch break have never experienced a break away from their home area and many have never been to the countryside or even visited a beach. We firmly believe that good childhood memories last a lifetime. Please donate to support our cause. Since 1998 HopScotch has provided over 5000 children with life enhancing respite breaks and unforgettable childhood memories. We are a small team dedicated to providing children with an amazing HopScotch experience and ensuring that every penny raised for our cause goes directly to providing children with a respite break. We would really appreciate your support.
