The Trust trains and supports qualified yoga teachers for work in prisons - in substance misuse, anger management and education programmes. Prisoners are invited to practise daily in their cells and supported by 150 weekly classes in 87 prisons in the UK and Ireland. The PPT encourages them with correspondence, free resource books, CDs, and quarterly newsletters, and also works with prison staff and officers in 20 weekly classes.

YTD Raised: £120.00Careline is a free telephone befriending service for people living in the Derbyshire Dales and Uttoxeter area. We aim to make people's lives better by calling those who feel in need of support - they may be elderly, less able to get out, feeling lonely or isolated. We offer friendship to the people that we call and peace of mind to their families and friends. With our team of 60+ volunteers who make the calls, we provide greater social interaction for our members, helping to give them the confidence to remain living independently. We make calls every day of the year, including weekends and holidays. Our service is completely free to use. Although we receive some funding, as a local charity we rely on donations and support from our community to keep this valuable service running.
