The age range is 3 -18 and we currently have over 80 children and young adults attending the academy. We are a fully inclusive academy and strive to ensure that all children meet their full potential. We provide our children with a broad, challenging and relevant curriculum that will enrich their lives and prepare them for the future, including a range of careers guidance and work experience opportunities. Our academy is a happy and inspiring environment where children thrive and enjoy their learning.

Little Chalfont Community Library

YTD Raised: £80.00Little Chalfont Community Library was rescued from imminent closure in 2007 and has been run on a community basis ever since. It is entirely managed and run by over 50 unpaid volunteers and funded by donations, grants and fund raising activities. We offer all the facilities of a Council run library and are linked to the South East Library Management Computer system. Membership and other services are provided free of charge and customers can use their County Council library card to borrow books and other items. We also run a film club, reading groups, a 'Knit and Natter' group, computer classes and many other activities. Over the last nine years the Library has gone from strength to strength with an increase in visitor numbers and the number of books issued. Our aim is to continue to be a friendly hub for local people to access information and education free of charge in the middle of Little Chalfont.

YTD Raised: £80.00Middle Street Resource Centre, Beeston, Nottingham We are a community centre covering the whole of greater Nottingham with the ethos of supporting people with mental health challenges but also encouraging all the local population to come along and help break the stigma of mental health. We run a wide variety of courses from Relaxation to Mixed Textiles and Shedders (woodwork room and facilities) We also have a wonderful Community Cafe offering hot and cold food everyday. There is a Community Garden a with sensory garden in the process of being finished. The centre is a friendly and safe place for all members of society. A warm welcome will given to everyone. Our Charity, Beeston Community Resource CIO, was set up in 2015 and we took over the management of Middle Street Resource Centre, from the local authority, in April 2015. For the last 2 years we have successfully increased the range of activities in the centre and built up a very successful Community Cafe as well as an outreach community garden group. The major ethos of the charity is to support the health and well-being of people in the area who have mental health challenges and to encourage a wider participation in the centre as a way of breaking down stigma. YTD Raised: £80.00Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate.2018 is a big year for Grayrigg C of E School! As well as celebrating the 200th anniversary of this unique gem of a rural school, Friends of Grayrigg (FOGS) have also been challenged to raise £30,000 toward the build of a much-needed new classroom. The school has increased in numbers over recent years and now has 46 children attending, with 65% of these being in Nursery, Reception and Infants. As these children progress through the school, they will outgrow the current space, so an additional classroom is needed to adequately cater for this increase. FOGS has risen to the challenge by launching the 'Grayrigg 200 for 200' campaign, with the aim of organising 200 fundraising events and activities over the course of 2018, to celebrate this milestone anniversary and raise the necessary funds to future-proof the school.The creation of an additional classroom would be a fitting way to celebrate 200 years and a wonderful legacy for the next 200 years, to allow children from Grayrigg and surrounding parishes to continue to benefit from the very best of starts in this small but mighty school.Thank you for your support. Please donate to support our cause.The Friends of Grayrigg '200 for 200' has already begun with a series of events and activities being planned over the course of 2018 including a Curry Night, a Community Car Wash, a monthly quiz sheet, in-school activities such as 'Flapjack Fridays' and pre-loved uniform sales and many, many more. FOGS is also encouraging as many supporters as possible to take up the '200 for 200 challenge' through sponsored 200 for 200 activities. Through this, local families and alumni both young and old, as well as current pupils and parents will have the opportunity to get involved, contribute towards the fundraising target and have some fun taking part!THANK YOU to all of our supporters. YTD Raised: £80.00The Teddy Trust collect teddies and soft cuddly animals from children around the UK and sends them to children who are suffering the traumas of war, starvation or abuse. So far, we’ve sent around 50,000 teddies to children in Syria, Turkey, Kenya, Malawi, Kurdistan, Romania and South Africa. When a teddy is sent with love and compassion by a child in the UK it can have a profoundly comforting effect on a suffering child elsewhere in the world. Sometimes the teddy is the only gift that that child has ever received. We work with Rotary International in South Africa and schools, churches and other organisations in this country. We are supported by companies such as KMB Shipping, Boots, DHL, Santander Bank and White Stuff who have all seen the value of the work we do and provide services to enable us to fulfil our goals.
