Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. HopScotch is a long established charity providing free respite breaks for vulnerable children living in Scotland who have no other chance of a holiday.  Our annual programme runs from March to October and each year we provide 350 children with a truly memorable break at Ardvullin our beautiful respite Centre in the West Highlands. During their stay at Ardvullin children take part in a range of fun and exciting activities including horse riding, canoeing, boat trips, and visits to the beach and the sea life centre, indoor climbing and biking.  These activities help to build children's confidence, self-esteem and develop their full potential. We work with schools, young carers organisations, women’s aid groups, health charities and community groups to identify children most in need.  The majority of children who benefit from a HopScotch break have never experienced a break away from their home area and many have never been to the countryside or even visited a beach.  We firmly believe that good childhood memories last a lifetime.
