Riversiders Trust run leisure activities and sports clubs for people with learning disabilities where they can meet in a happy, relaxed, safe and non-threatening environment, enjoy social interaction, engage both in individual hobbies and shared activities, develop further life skills and participate as widely as possible in community life and activities. The club members are encouraged to develop their life skills by taking responsibility for running club activities as much as possible themselves. There are currently 3 social clubs; Steps for children aged 11-19, Riversiders for adults and 18-30 club to bridge the gap between Steps and Riversiders. There is also a football group and a multi sports group held at the local leisure centre. The Riversiders Trust would ideally like to see a community in which all people with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to and included. We want everyone to have the opportunity to achieve the things they want from life.

Kenilworth Phab meets weekly and welcomes everyone over the age of 18. We regularly hold a variety of fund raising events in order to provide a range of interesting, exciting and varied activities that are completely accessible to all our members.In addition to our regular programme of activities and outings, we are raising funds in 2017 to enable our members to take part in an outward bounds experience at The Calvert Trust in Devon. Your donation will help us to continue supporting volunteers across Wales who care about their local environment. £3 will buy all the materials needed to build and install a simple bird boxKeep Wales Tidy provides the materials and the expertise to help volunteers build simple bird boxes. They have great fun developing new skills and learning about local wildlife. £8 will buy native seeds to create a wildflower gardenWe work with several groups who want to improve the biodiversity of their local area. An easy way to do this is to transform an area of a community garden or school grounds into a vibrant wildlife meadow, attaching butterflies and bees. £10 will buy hand tools to help volunteers develop allotments and community gardensGrowing food locally and cultivating community gardens that everyone can enjoy is high on the agenda for our volunteers. One of those is the quality of the water. Over the course of the spring and summer a beach must test its water quality 20 times. Welsh beaches need your help.
