(UK, 1103861) Browse eventsWe provide support to people who need long-term counselling for a range of life difficulties and who find it hard to access counselling they can afford. Our counselling service is provided by around 60 professionally-trained volunteer counsellors, and as such we are a vital counselling charity in the Borough. By using volunteer counsellors it means we can offer low-cost appointments to all residents of the local community over the age of 18. Ever since we were established over 20 years ago we have helped thousands of people to live happier and more fulfilled lives, remain in employment, and have better mental health. The benefits of supporting individuals through periods of extreme stress and mental illness are; many – families can be kept together, employment maintained or re-started, harmful behaviours avoided, and poor mental health addressed. For those who need it, long-term counselling can be life-changing or even life-saving.
