Our supporters sponsor their education from nursery school through to university. Many of the youngsters are orphans and live at a village orphanage that we also support. We help with self-sufficiency programmes, clean water and solar lighting, as well as with capital building projects. Please donate to support our cause. We promise that anything that you give will go either to help the children's education at the two Little Angels Primary Schools that we support or at the associated Dreamscheme groups which are part of the partnership. We urgently need funds to improve both the facilities within the classrooms and to add to the infrastructure of the schools. (UK, 1018048) Browse eventsThornberry is a small independent sanctuary that has been taking care of abandoned and neglected animals in the South Yorkshire region since 1988. We pride ourselves on our NO-KILL policy, which means that the animals in our care stay with us for as long as it takes to find them their forever homes. We are dedicated to animal welfare and committed to being actively involved with local schools and community groups to encourage and inform, often through mutual visits, which can lead to firm friendship and support on lots of different levels from volunteering to fundraising to sponsorship and beyond. Our funding comes solely from public donations and we hold weekly bric-a-brac sales to maintain our high standard of care and quality. Donations for these sales and for our Ebay shop, are always welcome. We also have an excellent weekend cafe, where families can enjoy a full meal or just a snack and both provide a pleasant environment to pass the time of day in. We also hold a lot of events on site to boost our funds: check out the news and events page for information. Periodically, you will find some of us in a city centre near you having a collection, so please come up and say hello. Thornberry offers support, compassion and understanding and will continue to do so, for while there are animals in need, Thornberrys' gates will always be open for them.

It will be accessible to all, inspire creativity, be challenging and exciting, flexible in purpose and use natural and sustainable materials (including sweet chestnut, larch and pine, and will incorporate woodworking and traditional crafts in its construction). It will allow children to play in all weathers and in significant numbers without detriment to the health of existing trees, which will be incorporated into the design. The playground will be used by all children at the school, as well as the New Croft Club which provides after school and holiday childcare, and the 11th/9th Cambridge Scouts and Guides About NET: the organisation was set up in 1996 to advance the education of pupils at Newnham Croft Primary School.
