SWGMC is non-auditioned male-voice choir based in Cardiff in South Wales, UK. Our members hail from all over South Wales and come together in Cardiff for weekly rehearsals and post-rehearsal drinks. We are a friendly, lively and inclusive group who enjoy making music together and hold exciting and varied performances throughout the year, across the UK and beyond!We are a registered charity but also promote and support other causes. YTD Raised: £360.00Friends of Diabetes International (FODI) was established in 2016 as a UK Registered Charity to try and address some of the unmet needs of those living with Diabetes in Sub Saharan Africa. Without proper diagnosis, treatment and management Diabetes continues to reduce long term health prognosis and takes many lives prematurely. The most vulnerable groups are the young, the elderly, pregnant women and small babies (gestational Diabetes). We are currently working with Friends of Diabetes Sierra Leone to construct a clinic in a recycled shipping container - The Freetown Diabetes Clinic. The clinic has been designed by architecture students from London Metropolitan University and the estimated cost, including contents, is £6000. Please donate now and help us build this essential medical facility to support us in our work of Diabetes Prevention and Management in Sierra Leone. YTD Raised: £360.00The Rodbourne Cheney Primary School Parent Teacher Association is a registered charity. We are currently raising funds for a school minibus which will enable the children to participate in sporting and dance activities off the school site. In 2015-2016, Rodbourne Cheney Primary School, in line with all primary schools in England, was allocated additional funding from the government in order to improve the provision of physical education and sport. These funds have in part been used to develop the PE curriculum and set up teams so that the children have the opportunity to enter inter schools sports competitions. This has enabled them to compete at local and national level and has been fabulous in developing children’s performance techniques, discipline, ability and also their confidence. The children have been able to enter some tournaments and sporting events this year. These include: · Netball · Football · Tag rugby · Swimming gala · Hockey · Dance show · Cross country festival · Boccia festival (Para-Olympic sport). Our own minibus would greatly increase pupils’ opportunities to take part in local and national competitive dance and sports events and allow them to continue to develop their confidence and skills.Please donate to support our cause.
