(UK, 1167629) Browse eventsThank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. Forever Friends of Uganda is dedicated to helping some of the poorest children in that country. Our supporters sponsor their education from nursery school through to university. Many of the youngsters are orphans and live at a village orphanage that we also support. We help with self-sufficiency programmes, clean water and solar lighting, as well as with capital building projects. Please donate to support our cause. We promise that anything that you give will go either to help the children's education at the two Little Angels Primary Schools that we support or at the associated Dreamscheme groups which are part of the partnership. We urgently need funds to improve both the facilities within the classrooms and to add to the infrastructure of the schools. (UK, 231480) Browse eventsWe are an independent charity day centre for the over 60's. We are open Monday to Friday and run coffee mornings, luncheon club and daily activities each day. Many of our members live on their own, so attending the centre is a very good way of elevating loneliness. We also run a Meal's on Wheels service for our clients in the community who cannot attend the centre. This is a vital service to our clients where majority are quote isolated and cannot get out, so having one of our valuable volunteer drivers visit them daily to delivery a hot dinner with a smaill and conversation which can enhance their day. We also have our own transport that can give a door to door service to bring our members to the centre and take them home. We also have other services which include welfare advice from our Welfare Officer and chiropody services. There are also day trips and holidays that are organised during the year for our members to attend.
(UK, 235757) Browse eventsThank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. The Tiverton Hospital League of Friends was formed in 1964 and is a group of volunteers from the local community. Their main purpose is to provide funds for equipment and all aspects of comfort and care, for the benefit of patients and staff throughout the various departments of the hospital. Its support was originally for the old Tiverton and District Hospital until its closure in 2004. This was then replaced by a newly built hospital which was officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal on 11 April 2005. In addition, the League provides support to patients, staff and visitors from our small shop, where we can supply newspapers, books, refreshments and many other essential items.
