The Campaign will raise £10 million pounds for a variety of projects: The Heritage and Education Centre The Cathedral and Community Music School The Cathedral, furnishings and Precincts Peterborough Cathedral is the focal point of our Diocese, which covers Peterborough, Northamptonshire and Rutland with an estimated population of 842,000 people. The Cathedral is open 364 days of the year, free of charge to visitors, and is currently visited by over 70,000 people annually. It is of great historical significance, most notably as the burial place of Katherine of Aragon, Queen of England from 1509-33. It hosts an active musical programme for a variety of choirs, orchestras and musicians, with artists of regional, national and international acclaim. There is also an expanding schools and education programme for local children.
