The demand for our services is increasing while our funding decreases and we rely heavily on donations and fundraising. No matter how small the amount is we are so grateful to those that contribute. The services we provide include a Carers' break service to allow the Carer time for themselves, while one of our team of trained volunteers take over the caring role. We also provide welfare benefits advice, support groups including a young carers support group, befriending scheme, support for Carers of Stroke patients, help with Social Care Direct Payments and Individual Budgets, Information and Advice and a free Carers Information pack and Carers magazine.

Our ongoing appeal directly benefits cancer patients in this excellent modern facility which opened in 2008. The Centre provides a range of medically-advanced cancer services to a catchment community of more than 2.6m people across Yorkshire. The Appeal's focus is four-stranded: specialist medical equipment, reseaarch and education programmes, patient 'home comforts' and the arts and gardens projects. Your contribution, no matter how modest, will enhance patient care to make this world-class facility a leading force in the early prevention, diagnosis, treatment and after-care of this indiscriminate disease that still affects one in three lives in the UK.
