We raise money to support things for the school that are outside the school and nursery’s budget. Our aim is to fund items or initiatives that will have most benefit to as many Talbot children as possible. Funds are most often raised by devising and running events at the school for Talbot children and their families, staff and teachers to enjoy. Talbot PTA is a registered charity.

PCOS Relief assists in fore-fronting the condition itself and highlighting the challenges a female can experience when diagnosed with the condition. Currently there is no cause or cure to this condition and it affects 1 in 10 females at any age across the UK, it has long term health complications such as infernality, heart diseases, strokes, Type 2 diabetes and more, this condition is growing and with the little support and research available, it is important we raise the awareness, drive the conversation and make the change today. Support us in making the change for Women Health.
Ryedale YMCA

YTD Raised: £230.00Ryedale YMCA is a small housing project founded in 1996. We provide accommodation and support to young adults in crisis with an identified support need who would otherwise be homeless. Although we are banded under the YMCA franchise, our funding streams and the management of our project/support schemes are fully independent. Our aim is to enable young people to move onto live successful independent lives and to be able to sustain a tenancy in their own right. We have 14 bedsits at the project and each resident is responsible for keeping their own accommodation clean and tidy and for paying rent and service charges. There are communal laundry facilities and a common room living/meeting area adjacent to the support office with basic kitchen facilities. Ryedale YMCA has a very small staff team with only 1 full time employee and 4 part time workers. However small the team we strive to be able to provide a holistic approach to resettlement allowing us the best possible chance to support the young person to independently move on. For the young adults that live on our project we run a pre tenancy training program alongside a dedicated support package tailored to each resident. Our pre tenancy training program is one that is vital for our residents as it promotes move on from the project and into independent living. The program covers everything from life skills e.g. effective communication and keeping residents safe, to the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and employment.

(UK, 1048370) CO-Gas Safety is an independent registered charity that works to try to prevent unintentional deaths and injuries from carbon monoxide and other gas dangers, including all products of combustion. The charity also helps victims and their families. The charity also lobbies government and industry with regard to prevention. We run a schools poster competition to raise awareness of the dangers of carbon monoxide etc. for ages 10-11 in North England, South England, Scotland and Wales. We would prefer prime time public health warnings on TV but we can’t afford these. We also collect, collate and publish data on unintentional deaths and injuries and have been doing this since 1995. We have probably the best data in the UK. We try to check every death with the Coroner concerned and we are the only body to have had its data independently validated by a statistician.
