What some parents may see as a 'simple trip out to the shops' can seem impossible to others. Home-Start Blaenau Gwent is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under 5 years of age. Volunteers offer regular confidential support, friendship and practical help to families under stress in their own homes to prevent family crisis and breakdown. Home-Start Blaenau Gwent supports parents who are dealing with issues such as ..... Isolation Sickness Disability Mental Health Domestic Abuse Twins/Triplet Difficult Relationships We can help these parents to feel that the 'impossible' is possible! The Additions project, will provide a support service to disadvantagedand at risk families, with children aged between 5 and 11, living in Blaenau Gwent. The project will provide activities and interventions for both adults and children that aim to help them to overcome a variety of social barriers and issues specific to this age range. The project will follow a three-pronged approach that ensures the need of the whole family are addressed, and offer support that focuses on: Adult support Child specific support Parent and child together delivery
