The British Wheelchair Athletics Association was formed in 1982 to promote Athletics initially for people with a spinal cord injury. Today we provide training and competitions for any wheelchair user who would like to have a go at seated throwing. The BWAA has an ongoing development program which nurtures new and developing athletes by organising regular training camps and competitions, providing advice, information, and adaptive equipment. We support sport development for all ages where our qualified coaches and senior athletes are always present to give advice to new athletes.
