YTD Raised: £90.00Swansea Women's Aid offers emergency accommodation and community services to women and children who are experiencing violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence. The support offered is needs led and trauma informed to enable them to move forward positively with their lives free from abuse. Our services are: Emergency refuge and safe house accommodation accessible 24/7 DAISE community outreach offering 1:1 appointments and drop-in sessions at our office and the Swansea Domestic Abuse One Stop Shop to maximise their safety, address crisis needs and/or the ongoing impact of domestic abuse. Specialist group work also available to help women identify domestic abuse , meet other women in the same situation and move forward positively with their lives. CHYPS supports children aged 5-17 years via community based 1:1 support , specialist group work and play activities, helping them to identify a trusted adult and develop a safety plan so that they know what to do in a crisis situation. The support enables them to identify that they have experienced domestic abuse and talk through how this has affected them, giving them coping mechanisms and access to other children via play activities to encourage peer support. SWAN provides daytime support and an evening outreach service 4 nights a week to women selling survival sex on the streets, ensuring that the women's basic needs are met and they are able to access both crisis and ongoing support.

YTD Raised: £90.00Blackburn foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust national network of foodbanks, providing a minimum of 3 days worth of nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people in crisis in Blackburn.We collect non-perishable food which is donated by the public through churches, schools and supermarket collections. Front line care professionals e.g. social workers, doctors etc refer people to the foodbank with a voucher which is exchanged for 3 days worth of food. Over a chat, a meal and a drink we listen and signpost clients to other agencies for support.

We supply the specialised transport, book the venues and supply medical staff and volunteers to assist those travelling with us. We travel as a group and always try to instil a family atmosphere, whilst catering for individual needs. The experience away with Égalité Absolue is enriching for both helpers and travellers. We normally travel by a purpose built luxury ambulance the size of a coach. Each trip consists of 24 people:- 10 travellers, 2 nurses and twelve volunteers. Whenever required a doctor will also accompany the party.
