(UK, 1049963) Browse eventsWere running for school! We are a group of about 20 parents of Hotwells Primary School and we are working hard to get fit to run the Bristol 10k on May 9th 2010. Our biggest incentive (other than getting fit) is to raise as much money as we can for our school - so please dig deep and help us along with our training - Make a donation now. There are two ways to donate - Click on the button on the right 'Make a donation' - but you can't leave us a message (although it appears that you can - and you won't be able to see how much is being raised) - so you may prefer to click here http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/HotwellsPTA Hotwells PTA raises valuable funds that help support the school in giving their children such meaningful memorable learning experiences. The PTA raises money for equipment and resources to enhance our children’s education and the facilities in school. Hotwells PTA funds are for the ‘extras’ not provided by the school budget, that make our children’s learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting.

(UK, 1145455) Browse events"Friends of Nixon" exists to support the work of the Nixon Memorial Hospital, Segbwema, a small rural Methodist mission hospital in Eastern Sierra Leone that serves an estimated 30,000 people. The Friends of Nixon was established to provide a direct route of support for the Nixon Memorial Hospital in Sierra Leone. The hospital is in an area of endemic poverty in one of the most deprived countries in the world. It faced partial destruction and temporary closure during the Sierra Leone civil war between 1991 and 2002 and recently encountered further tragedy during the Ebola epidemic in West Africa. Despite these challenges the hospital continues to survive in order to provide essential healthcare to its community who have huge unmet health needs. Our trustees consist of a group of individuals from both Sierra Leone and the UK (many ofwhom have worked at the hospital) who have a desire to support the work of thehospital and facilitate improvements in the healthcare it provides. We achieve this through funding training opportunities, community health work, infrastructure projects (most recently the new water well and pump) and essential medicine provision.
