Our ultimate goal is to enable children to have fun, explore and have the freedom to express their individuality, while forming the basis of their education. As a non-profit making, educational charity, we rely on fundraising activities to enhance the children's development at playgroup with learning, play and recreation resources.

The centre continues to run on an entirely voluntary basis, depending on donations to meet all running costs, such as rent, rates and electricity. It also depends on people giving their free time to lead meditations, help run classes, organize events and generally help to keep the centre clean and running well, so it may be a peaceful and welcoming place for people to experience. Colchester Buddhist Centre supports anyone looking for a little more peace of mind, inner calm or would like to pursue an interest in Buddhism further. There are relaxing meditation classes, informative study groups, and various retreats available which will support those wishing to find inner strength to support themselves and others, and create a more fulfilling life, free from the unnecessary yet typical stresses and confusion of everyday life.

With Southport YMCA no longer wanting to run a competitive gymnastics club we need to raise enough money to buy the club from them or see the club close. From our tiny tots enjoying the facility to roll and jump around to our Olympian Dan Purvis we need to Save Our Gymnastics for all of them. Please help and donate now. Each year we hope to have thousands of pounds available for grants to children’s charities, individuals and many other causes throughout Lancashire. All the money is raised and granted in Lancashire. Grants are made to support children and young people under 18 who are disabled, disadvantaged or suffering from abuse or neglect. Last year our local grant giving supported around 19,000 children in Lancashire.
