(AU, 84247370692) Browse eventsStreetWork is a not-for-profit, community based organisation that focuses on prevention and early intervention strategies for ‘at risk’ youth and has a proven history of positive, tangible results for youth at risk through early intervention programs. Our mission is to provide 'at-risk' youth between 11 and 18 years of age in the local community, access to one-on-one mentoring to tailor goal setting plans and break the cycle of environments and behaviours to turn their lives around. StreetWork engages with communities to provide the foundation and support to identify those young people whose needs are not being met and to help them get themselves back on track. It aims to help troubled young people affected by crime, violence, mental health issues, destructive relationships, rejections and social isolation, homelessness, learning difficulties, disengagement from school, poor employment opportunities and alcohol and substance abuse, to change their life's trajectory. This is achieved by redirecting young people through positive role modelling, mentoring and practical support towards more positive and fulfilling choices for their lives.
