Broxbourne Borough Cerebral Palsy Football Club (UK, 1173431) Browse events

YTD Raised: £525.00

Now in existence for over 2 years we have just been granted charity status in June 2017. We are a Cerebral Palsy football club that allows children of all ages to participate in a sport that they otherwise would not be able to. Our son Jackson has Cerebral Palsy and was desperate to play with his friends, but was unable to keep up with them. We looked online to try and find somewhere for him to play, but found there was nothing available in or around our area. With the support of friends and CP Sport, we arranged our first kick start event in April 2015 This was such a success that we could continue training on a weekly basis. We have gone from strength to strength and now have 27 children both framed and ambulant. Our mission is to purchase land and build our own indoor 3G pitch, along with a hydrotherapy pool and physiotherapy room. Cerebral Palsy effects children in many ways both physically and mentally. We are extremely passionate, and want to be able to give any child with this condition the opportunity to get involved with a sport they love, and to improve their mobility, things that we sometime take for granted. Living with Cerebral Palsy can be hard, not only for the child but also their siblings and parents. We have created a new family and lasting friendships and want this to grow to support future children with this painful and cruel condition. We are relying on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support so that we can continue supporting this great cause. We would be extremely grateful if you would be able to contribute and make a real difference, allowing us to continue our work.
