Based in the heart of Leith, Home-Start Leith & North East Edinburgh has been offering support to families in the area since 1986. We consist of a Senior Coordinator, Coordinator, Administrator, Creche Worker, team of Volunteers and a Board of Trustees. The scheme provides home visiting support to vulnerable families as well as running a creche, parents groups, outings and other multi-agency initiatives. We provide a professional, highly regarded service which is well utilised by families in the local community. Barton Junior Football Club provides an opportunity for children from the ages of 5- 16 to enjoy football, regardless of ability. This is a self-financing club, who currently have 10 active teams. These teams are run by volunteers who give endless hours to provide the children with the opportunity to improve their skills, be part of a team and make friends for life. The club has been running for over 30 years and in order to maintain this much loved and valued service for the community - We need your help. Money is always needed for equipment, kits and maintenance of the ground to allow the children to play all year round. Holy Trinity Church is a Grade 1 listed building with parts of the tower dating back to Saxon times. Ilfracombe's parish church, it is a vital part of our community and a building of great historical interest and importance. The Parochial Church Council works to maintain this beautiful building which, like so many ancient structures, needs constant maintenance and repair. Our current priority is the church roof which requires extensive and urgent work. We undertake a variety of events, from rock and choral concerts to quiz nights, to raise funds for the church and provide an important social resource for our community.

Torbay Hospital League of Friends is proud to say that it is probably one of the most successful Leagues in the Country having raised a staggering sum of over £12m since it was formed in 1954. Money raised is ploughed back to the Hospital to purchase state of the art equipment for all departments (we recently purchased a Surgical Robot at £1.5m) and have made a massive contribution of £1.72m towards the construction and equiping of a new Research and Education Centre within the Hospital as well providing funding for the aquisition of numerous other items of equipment of all kinds both large and small which together enhance and improve the service which Torbay Hospital can provide to all patients who use the Hospital. In addition the League provides Canteen and Guide services and also a Linen League to complement the services of the Hospital
