The Galilee School, managed by Communities@Work, is an accredited, independent school which provides an alternative education program for disadvantaged and at-risk young people aged 12- to 16 years in the Canberra region. It caters for youth who do not fit the mainstream schooling system. Many have a history of truancy, drug or alcohol issues or behavioural issues. By promoting respect and self-esteem, the objective is to encourage the youth to return to the education system, develop their skills and realise their potential.
