Open Door Church Sunbury aim to do the work that Jesus did by proclaiming good news to the poor. Fifteen members of Open Door Church Sunbury are going on a mission trip to the Philippines for sixteen days in November 2017. We will work out there with a church who are already based in Cavite, Philippines to help the street children, work amongst the elderly and also to go into the prison twice a week to provide comfort and support. Human rights are poor in the Philippines and many of the inmates are left on remand. The standards vary, but they are often very overcrowded dormitories, no sleeping bed, no toiletries, cramped conditions and inadequate water supply, sanitation and ventilation. We will support the Cavite church while we are out there and then continue to support them when we get home with financial assistance. Please donate to support our cause. Wellingborough Dog Welfare, or Wellidog as we are more fondly known is a dog rescue located in Grendon, Northamptonshire. We are dedicated to making life better for strays and unwanted dogs locally and from surrounding areas. With so many abandoned and unwanted dogs entering kennels every day we are committed to finding loving homes for all of our dogs. We are a no-kill shelter who believe that second hand dogs make first class friends, and we work around the clock to raise funds to care for the dogs in our care while we search for their perfect forever home. All of the money we raise goes directly to our charity, but we can only carry on the work we do with the help of people’s generosity. We are always grateful for any donations and really could not do this without the support of people like you!We do not claim expenses for our work; our payment is seeing the dogs in our care transferred to a forever home and becoming part of a family where they are loved.
