The centre provides a focal point for the local area and local community groups, with the centre viewed as a community necessity and community asset. The staff and volunteers who deliver programmes and services are trusted by the community, viewed as reliable and have knowledge of the issues and challenges facing local people. Helenslea Community Hall currently provides services for all people residing in the local community and is accessible to all. The centre currently supports over 16 community groups, providing services for over 250 local people through activity programmes, learning facilities, employability support, leisure, local clubs and bespoke services.
