(UK, SC046334) Browse eventsTrust Jack Foundation was set up in memory of Jack Hastie who suffered from adolescent depression but was missed through GP's, CAHMS and education so he went under the radar even though it was clear to see. Sadly he decided to end his life at the age of 18 years old. This is happening all too often as young people aren’t taken seriously when they open up about their feelings The Trust Jack Foundation aim to help and support young people who have been identified as either suffering from a mental illness or who are at high risk of suffer from a mental illness. We aim to help by supplying a grant to help young people to do something that will help in their recovery which could be from music, swimming, driving lessons, ice skating lessons or going to youth groups anything that they feel will help build their confidence and self esteem. We also will be involved in raising awareness of mental health issues for parents through our support group from help and advice to holistic treatments and stress management. We are raising fund to help us continue our work raising awareness and breaking down the stigma of mental illness. we have many more projects that are getting planned at the moment which we are hoping to get up and running by august 2016. We really appreciate all donations as its the donations that help us to save life's.

We provide a focus for community-based initiatives to support people with additional needs and their carers. We encourage partners who provide services to deliver support that actively meets the needs of people with a learning disability. We raise, or support the raising, of funds for local community-based initiatives for the benefit of people who have disabilities. We listen to, and learn from our members and their families/carers. Our members determine the services which should be supported or developed by us. We run social and sporting clubs for our members. We are currently hosting virtual groups through Zoom to follow government guidelines and protect our members and volunteers
