(UK, 1157078) Acorns ProjectWe are a registered charity and support the recovery of children and young people who are affected by domestic abuse, in North Tyneside Domestic abuse is not only traumatic for the victim, but can have an incredibly detrimental effect on witnesses or those who have overheard it or seen the after effects, many of whom are inevitably children in the home.Research shows that children who experience domestic abuse are significantly more likely to suffer from emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties than those who do not, and that the impact can last into adulthood. These difficulties may include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, aggression, nightmares, bedwetting, sleep problems, self-harm and low self-esteem.We offer different kinds of support including:Counselling and Play TherapyOne-to-one support in schools and community settingsAdvice and support around healthy relationshipsYou might also see our outreach team in schools and youth settings where we deliver talks and group work. YTD Raised: £330.00BEE – Brighter East End is a youth-led charity based in Easterhouse, Glasgow, supporting children and young people aged 5–18 to grow in confidence, resilience and opportunity. We provide free afterschool groups, youth work, holiday programmes, community events and leadership training in one of Scotland’s most disadvantaged areas. Many of the young people we work with experience poverty, low confidence and limited access to positive opportunities — and we exist to change that. A key part of our work is our Young Volunteer and Future Leaders programmes, where teenagers gain accredited awards, develop employability skills and take on real responsibility within their community. Many of our volunteers go on to paid roles, further education or careers in teaching, youth work and childcare. Young people shape everything we do through our active Youth Committee, ensuring BEE remains responsive, relevant and rooted in the community. We believe every child and young person deserves the chance to thrive!

YTD Raised: £330.00Here at RSPCA Oxfordshire nearly all of our animals have been rescued from neglect and bad treatment by their previous owners. We look after dogs, cats, rabbits, and many other types of small domestic animals. Our Paws & Claws rabbit centre is a recent addition to the Branch and provides an idyllic location for some of our animals to enjoy life whilst waiting for their new homes. It can take weeks and sometimes months to rehabilitate some of our animals. Our staff and volunteers work extremely hard to ensure that every animal which comes through our doors will find their 'perfect match'.
