We achieve our mission through the support of a devoted group of local and national volunteers. The Preemie Project is an all volunteer, Iowa based non-profit. Holiday Hats/Costumes: The Preemie Project donates special knit and crochet hats, booties and costumes to Iowa NICUs for holidays and special events throughout the year. Size appropriate hats, booties and costumes make a very special memory for the families to cherish. Infant Bereavement: We provide hats, booties, blankets, clothing and mementos for families that have lost an infant NICU Bedding: The mission of The Preemie Project NICU Bedding Program is to create a comfortable, non-sterile environment for families in Iowa NICUs with donations of soft colorful sheets for the infant’s beds. Family Support: We provide going home items for families being discharged from the Iowa NICUs that are facing financial challenge due to their extended hospital stay. TPP survives solely on donations from volunteers.
