Without proper diagnosis, treatment and management Diabetes continues to reduce long term health prognosis and takes many lives prematurely. The most vulnerable groups are the young, the elderly, pregnant women and small babies (gestational Diabetes). We are currently working with Friends of Diabetes Sierra Leone to construct a clinic in a recycled shipping container - The Freetown Diabetes Clinic. The clinic has been designed by architecture students from London Metropolitan University and the estimated cost, including contents, is £6000.
