YTD Raised: £10,411.05We are a group of six friends who formed an organisation called, ‘Path to the Future’. Path to the Future (PTTF) started in 2005 shortly after the news “a Tsunami hit Sri Lanka” on 26th December 2004. Hearing news of the devastation of this natural disaster and seeing footage of Tamil communities torn apart had an immense impact on this group of friends, who wanted to make a difference. Our mission was to fund projects that helped children affected by the Tsunami. Starting with just a small group of friends and with an ever growing membership, our aim is to help more underprivileged children in the North/East of Sri Lanka, to give them better opportunities in their lives by offering basic needs as well as good education, healthy food and sports/recreational facilities. On personal visits to Sri Lanka, PTTFs director has identified projects that need our aid and visited regularly to check on their progress. However this is a huge target and we need your help. We are asking you through a regular donation to support us in achieving this. You can do this by either filling in the Standing order mandate attached or by online banking using the details provided on the Mandate form. Your contribution, however big or small, will allow us to begin building work and provide much needed amenities. All donations are subject to gift aid. May I take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your generosity which will benefit children who are in desperate need of a home.

CNCF is involved in numerous activities including medical care, educational assistance, well drilling, establishing and developing educational facilities, revolving loan programmes, emergency assistance to children and their families, and shelters for street children.

Children from Malvern Valley Primary School will run and be splattered with colour to raise funds for the Mosaic Community Project. Malvern Valley Primary School’s Visual Arts Department will engage students and members of the Phoenix Park Neighbourhood House in creating an art installation the ‘Mosaic Community Project’. The installation will celebrate the school values of Respect, Cooperation, Confidence, Friendliness, Resilience and Tolerance. The installation will be the junior school playground tunnels. Sri Lanka's first medical school was run Dr Samuel Green at Manipay Hospital from 1847 to 1875. We have also trained orphan girls as Healthcare Assistants. WE have trained over 50 such students in last 2 years and therea re currently another 25 students training currently. Institute of Medical Sciences is a charity formed to provide this training at Green Hospital Manipay.

Our current enrolment is over 600. The P&C Association creates opportunities for parents and carers, students and staff to interact, building a feeling of respect and a stronger, safer school community. The P&C supports the school by providing volunteer-led services and events, communicating with parents and fundraising for resources.
