Beckenham Rugby Football Club was founded on 19th October, 1894 with 25 players. Almost 127 years later we remain at the very heart of our community. We are a hub for over 1000 players and social members of all ages (from 2 to 102) and we serve the wider Blue and Gold Community with associated clubs (Beckenham Rugby Cyclists etc) partner charities (O2e and CASPA) and events (Beckenham Half Marathon etc). We are self sustaining and strive to be the best Community Club. We have been well served in the past but we can’t ever be complacent so……..how do we make sure our club is here to serve future generations and continue to promote rugby as a sport for ALL? The 125 Build was kicked off to celebrate our 125th Anniversary (October 2019) and provide more revenue to keep the club moving forward independently. We are so lucky to own our own grounds and we should continue to take full advantage. To date, we have extended the car park, providing much needed space for our growing membership. Next we want to build a purpose built kitchen and players dining room, situated between the existing coffee lounge and the bungalow.
We are a team of parents and teachers who collectively hold fund raising events throughout the year to raise funds for various projects around our school. This year we are raising funds for playground upgrade, mathletics, house of science learning experiences and Library books.

Situated less than 2km from Kadina’s main shopping area Wallaroo Mines Primary School is certainly worth a visit. Originally established in 1876 it was Kadina’s first primary school. Following a proud 90 year tradition the school was relocated in 1966 to the current, quiet Lipson Ave site where it continues to provide an excellent standard of education for R-7 students from Kadina and the surrounding community. The Values of Communication, Understanding, Trust, Collaboration and Relationships underpin all that we do.
Students within our school keep reminded us that they want more to do on the Elder Street Oval. So... we have decided to fundraise for new playground equipment. We need to you support our school with a donation to the 'Raise the Playground Colour Explosion'.
