Thank you for visiting our profile. Sunflowers Suicide Support was set up in memory of Pete Morris who took his own life in September 2016. Pete had never suffered from mental ill health but was struggling after a relationship breakdown. He was a popular and charismatic artist with a wonderful sense of humour. Everybody loved to spend time with Pete; with his infectious laugh and huge smile he was sure to brighten your day. He was extremely close to his family and had a very strong network of friends that all loved him dearly. We feel the pain of his loss everyday and miss him immensely. We will forever ask ourselves why.After losing Pete, it quickly became apparent that there was not much provision or signposting to support after Suicide Bereavement in Gloucestershire. Suicide Loss it is a lonely and confusing journey and we do not want others to have to walk this path alone.We have two aims; 1. To raise awareness around suicide and mental health2. To support those bereaved by suicide who live in GloucestershireWe offer Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. We also offer Grief Recovery Courses, as well as various events and activities to support those bereaved.
