(UK, 1168036) Sparkles is a parent-led charity that supports preschool children with Down's Syndrome in and around Buckinghamshire. Sparkles was formed in May 1999, by the parents of three children with Down's Syndrome. Concerned that their children would be on a long NHS waiting list for Speech Therapy, and with the help of their local Portage Worker, a group formed and together began to provide the essential therapy the children needed prior to starting school. Sparkles now provides Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy for around 30 pre-school children a year, whilst also providing support and pathways to friendships that are invaluable to parents.THANK YOU for visiting our page!
