The centre continues to run on an entirely voluntary basis, depending on donations to meet all running costs, such as rent, rates and electricity. It also depends on people giving their free time to lead meditations, help run classes, organize events and generally help to keep the centre clean and running well, so it may be a peaceful and welcoming place for people to experience. Colchester Buddhist Centre supports anyone looking for a little more peace of mind, inner calm or would like to pursue an interest in Buddhism further. There are relaxing meditation classes, informative study groups, and various retreats available which will support those wishing to find inner strength to support themselves and others, and create a more fulfilling life, free from the unnecessary yet typical stresses and confusion of everyday life.
